Haus am Waldsee – international contemporary art
The ways to the international art scene became much shorter in the changed historical situation after 1989. Since the mid-90s, the German capital city is considered one of the most exciting cities worldwide and as a magnet for creative people. Artists of different generations and from all countries, continets and Germany as well stream to the Spree. These include not only visual artists, painters, sculptors and media specialists, but also fashion and furniture designers, musicians and writers. They live and produce in Berlin. The "Haus am Waldsee" has devoted all his attention to them.

Liebermann-Villa at the Wannsee
In 1909 Max Liebermann let build a summer house at the Wannsee, which he proudly called his "castle by the sea". Here he found the necessary rest from the bustle of the city and the key themes for his later work. More than 200 paintings were created in the on own ideas shaped and almost 7000 square meter big garden.
