Krumme Lanke
Krumme Lanke is a scenic lake located in the middle of the Grunewald woodlands. A lakeside promenade extending over two and a half kilometres makes it a perfect place for running and strolling. If it gets too warm, you may while away the hour in the shade of a tree or indeed cool off in the lake.

Glienicke Palace
As the former residence of the kings of Brandenburg and Prussia, Berlin is home to royal palaces from various eras. One of them is Glienicke Palace, built in 1823 according to plans by architect Karl-Friedrich Schinkel. Today, the estate also includes Höfgärtnermuseum, a horticultural museum.

Royal Academy of Horticulture
Today, the Königliche Gartenakademie or Royal Academy of Horticulture consists of the former director’s mansion along with its parklands designed by Theodor Echtermayer, and a sunken garden cultivated by the University of Applied Sciences in Berlin. Also found here are restored greenhouse facilities of the former horticultural school, extending over roughly 9000 sqm. Unlike the former horticultural school, the current facilities have somewhat shifted their focus away from the training of professional gardeners and specialists toward a wider spectrum of gardening themes for anyone taking an interest.
